Are Genetics to Blame with Histamine Intolerance?

A question I get a lot is, "Do I have HIT because I have MTHFR gene mutation?" or other related genetic questions.

The answer to this isn't black and white. Have you heard of the saying, genes load the gun and epigenetics pull the trigger? This saying means that you have a genetic blueprint which may include mutations which have to do with how your body processes histamine, but if you live a clean lifestyle (drinking filtered water, getting enough sleep, eating nourishing foods, limiting environmental toxins, maintain a healthy gut...), then those genes will stay turned off and you won't develop symptoms. This is why clients are able to reverse their symptoms because we have the power to put them into remission.

Holistic Support for Sinus Infections

Do you get a dreaded sinus infection every year? Or even worse, multiple times a year?

I know I used to get them all the time before cleaning up my my health and they are THE WORST. I would honestly rather have the flu. The sinus pressure is so intense and not being able to breathe through your nose is a form of torture.

Have you seen one of my most popular Instagram post that over 90% of sinus infections are due to fungal or mold overgrowth in the sinuses?

So if you regularly take an antibiotic for them, you're only making the problem worse since they are not a bacterial infection. That antibiotic is only killing the good bacteria that would help keep the fungal bacteria in check, but now the fungus can run wild even more than before.

Pregnancy, Postpartum and TH2 dominance

Did you know that after implantation your histamine levels increase? They are highest during the first trimester (got morning sickness- blame histamine!). The uterine lining and placenta have a lot of mast cells which increase histamine.

If you've already had histamine issues prior to pregnancy, it can unfortunately make it worse since we know digestion slows down as well as your liver's ability to detoxify.

93% of all cases of chronic sinusitis are fungal, not bacterial

Did you know over 90% of #chronicsinusitis aka #sinusinfections are fungal or mold related?

Do you typically run to your doctor to grab an antibiotic when you think you got one?

Unfortunately antibiotics are one of the worst things you can do since it kills the good bacteria that is working to keep that infection in check. Once you kill the good bacteria, the opportunistic bacteria has an even better chance of overtaking your nasal microbiome which eventually gets passed into your gut microbiome.

The Gallbladder - Histamine Connection

The connection between your gallbladder and histamine intolerance because I feel this isn't talked about often enough and far too many women are getting their gallbladders taken out when it could have been prevented.
